    Vicious Basslines

    Hi Everybody,

would you please list me songs with neverending and hypnotizing basslines.

    Here are 10:
Was Not Was - Wheel Me Out
    Nancy Martin - Can't Believe
Yoko Ono - Walking on Thin Ice
Talking Heads - Psycho Killer (Stop Making Sense Version)
    Man Friday - Winners
    James Chance - Contort Yourself
    Slick - Space Bass
    The Rhythm Makers - Zone
    B 52's - Mesopotamia
The Clash - The Magnificent 7

It doesn't have to necessarily sound like "Ze" Records (even though I'm a fan) but I love basslines, and I love funky, strange, hypnotic ones.

    Any ideas?
    I\'m a Victim ( of th very Song I sing )

I always thought "Dance Dance Dance (Yowsah, Yowsah, Yowsah)" by Chic ('77) had a bassline that impaled the listener's brain, causing the feet to go all "Fred Astaire" on us. Vicious ? (maybe) . . .Memorable --for eternity !

Get On The Funk Train - Munich Machine
Another One Bites The Dust - Queen

I always liked the bassline in Last Dance, particularly the instrumental section on the long version but whether it counts as vicious is debatable.

Hey Nano, since you've mentioned Issac Hayes, his Cut entitled "JOY" had a bassline that kept you gripped to the stereo!!!
