    Most hard working musician.

Who is busiest studio musician of them all? Which instrumentalist appears on the most of the tracks that you have?
I'd say the prize must definetely go to percussionist Paolinho Da Costa. Funny thing is that you can almost never hear that's he is actually there

How about James Jamerson on a lot of Motown stuff.
Larry Washington on congas on Philly material and Boris Midney records.
Vince Montana playing vibes and bells on tons of Philly & Salsoul stuff.
Madline Bell and Sue Glover on the vocals of many Disco records.

    the spinners -its a shame
    the temptations-ball of confusion
    the temptations-cloud nine
    the floaters-float on
    the sylvers-boogie fever
    c.j and co-devils gun
its all dennis, all this and this excludes his own stuff, film scores, t.v etc

    Discodisk,

I completely neglected Dennis Coffey. As I read your list I kept saying, "oh yeah..." Good call on this very talented musician. Time to play "Scorpio" and "Wings of Fire." ...Oh and my guilty 70's pop pleasure "Nice To Be With You" by Gallery, which Dennis produced with Mike Theodore.

GRAHAM dennis is now back in detroit and still very much working,i believe he has an album in the can on himself.

BERNIE youre right its time to start digging em out though i did have a bit of a dennis session a month or so ago,the first two im headin' for are CHICANO a lesser known dennis coffey track tucked away on the other side of gettin it on 75, ian levine used to treat us to this at his club back in the day fast and funky the next al kents [instrumental] YOU'VE GOT TO PAY THE PRICE on ric-tic from the late 60s beautiful even sexy guitar work i cant wait, and BERNIE what great article dennis's story would make at discomusic.com [hint hint :P ]

Other runners-up: Steve Gadd (drums) and Jay Graydon (guitar). I recently found them in an old Van McCoy record... I think that says it all :o
(And don't forget trumpet player Jon Faddis, keyboard-producer Michael Omartian...)

Jesse Boyce & Moses Dillard. They are responsible for the rhytm arrangement on disco songs like:

1 - Saturday Night Band's "Come On Dance, Dance"
2 - Lorraine Johnson's "I'm Learning to Dance All Over Again"

They also play instruments. Moses: guitar. Jesse: bass, keyboards, synthesizer, vocals.

Earl Young. This man practically invented the disco beat. Legendary member of the Trammps, seasoned musican par excellence and all-around nice guy. How do I know he's a nice guy? Don't mean to brag here but get this: I met him, shook his hand and chatted with him! He was pointed out to me late last year, so I rushed foward and could not help but to interrupt his dancing and start to babble uncontrollably how excited I was. He was indeed most charming and witty and, well, fabulous the way legendary people are. He gets my vote.
