Need help identifying 2 songs . . .

One is an instrumental that features the sound of a train whistle several times. Near the end I believe there are some vocals by a female group (the song is NOT Tuxedo Junction's "Chattanooga Choo Choo" -- I know that much). I've heard it a couple times on adult contemporary radio stations, so surely it must have crossed over to the pop chart.

The other song is one I happened to hear on a classic r&b station. All I remember is that the singer/group was female, and the word "smile" was in the chorus (probably in the title too). Does anyone know of any disco songs with the word "smile" in the title and/or chorus?

Happy day!!! I discovered the latter song I listed was "Smile" by the Emotions. I realized the voices on the song sounded like the Emotions, so I looked up their singles, and lo and behold, I saw one entitled "Smile." I found a video of said song on YouTube, and whaddya know? That was the one!

So now I just need to know the title of the previously mentioned instrumental with the train whistle in it.
