They never were blockbusters but it's a series that I just luuuuuv! Featuring Jason Statham but more important, featuring the best stunts ever performed with a BMW 7 and Audi 8, 2 BIG cars and not that frequently used by filmmakers when they want to do car chases and jumps and stuff like that (Quincy Jones)
I'm a massive fan of these films as well - BUT! If you like them changes are you'll adore the 2nd Crank film CRANK HIGH VOLTAGE. This improves 100% from part one, also stars Steatham and comes on like all the Transformer films jammed with force into 90 minutes and revved up with near fatal doses of acid mixed with testosterone. The whole movie is one endless chase sequence but somehow it never becomes annoying. Sleaziest characters ever, rudest gags on film, jerky breakbeat music, dirty hos in leopard print underwear, smoking hot cars, and in one scene, a stripper gets shot thru her boobs sideways, so that all the silicone bursts out! My wife was so appalled she did not speak to me for an hour after the whole outrage was over - well, she did say "and you dragged ME to watch THIS unbelievable crap!?". Well, why did she stay to watch it then, why did she not walk out? We've had this argument a few times but she just can't admit she enjoyed every second of it :-)
OMG J..The Transporter has to be my favorite action Franchise second being The Bourne trilogy..
The Transporter films are off the charts HOT..I think my favorite has to be Part 2 although it's very hard to choose from them..PLUS Jason Stathom is by far the HOTTEST man ever to grace the earth. His voice alone could make me faint ,he's so rugged and ooh just a Manly man.."Fans self"..Death Race is another great one..Jussi I am going to see Crank 2 as well and am loving the fact that you say it's 100% better than the first one because it wasn't my favorite ,but then of course I had thought my man was dead at the end..lol..
Ok, since you all like Mr. Statham, let's watch what he does with an Audi A8 W12! That car is like....BIG, so...well done for that stunt team! Back 2 back with the (kind of original) 1978 movie by Walter Hill, starring Ryan O' Neal.
