Again, I should defer to Marky as I'm sure he has much more experience on this subject...:icon_lol:
Viva was a women's magazine started in 1973 by Penthouse publisher Bob Guccione. Essentially, it was a competitor to Playgirl, with features and erotic photography. It seemed that Viva found models who were more...er...um..."gifted" than the men in Playgirl. It was never really successful and petered out, so to speak, by 1980.
Speaking of mail-order catalogues . . .and of course '70s music . . . . .there was actually a country song from 1975 called "The Man on Page 602", whereby the narrator quite tongue-in-cheek says how he'd love to BE the man on page 602 of the Sears Fall/winter catalogue of 1975, that allegedly featured an impressive member poking out the bottom of the model's jockey shorts :icon_exclaim:

yep, we got banned to the "general entertainment" aisle (probably a good move on Bernie's part), where the conversation can continue, and what can be more generally entertaining than "porn talk" !!! This thread has certainly winded its way over 7 pages through some interesting content ....thus proving, Length IS important![]()

Well I know you know The Tenderloin .... that area of immigrants and transients and shady types of every color with time to spare .....
That area around Turk and Eddy ... probably a good ten video arcades and dirty book stores and movie houses ... some side by side ....seemed like a new one opened every month ....each with their own particular type of clientèle lurking about .
And that's probably enough about that !!

Oh maybe we met then ! I did register !!
Well ..yes..... it was a mixed crowd of varying degree ..it ran the gambit and one had to be careful there ....But don't forget this was a stone's throw from the nice big hotels of Union Square also ....and many an adventurous tourist wanted to experience all the sites the big city had to offer ...
