Boston Disco !?

I can find only one example (:icon_question:)
Recorded at Music Designers Studios - Boston, MA :

about "Jo" ....I always presumed that was "her" on the cover ...

but this is Jo :

and he did lots of disco

....and yet has he ever been discussed here??? did I miss it??

Anyone have information ???

Such as ........... why he wound up recording in ....Boston ????? :icon_confused:

Did others ???

remicks, I'm embarrassed to say this but I know nothing about this. I was hitting the discos pretty hard from '78 to '82 in Beantown and I don't remember this. :icon_question:

Jo Bisso was joined by a 19 year old Arthur Baker on the Love Somebody album.

Also, you can count TJM to that list...

He's also credited on Venise's "The Best Disco In The City" album.

(decent music, but quite possibly the most laughably bad album cover I have ever seen!)

The 16 minute a-side "Play Me" medley on Jo's 1978 Mademoiselle lp is strong stuff, very percussive and kinda Cerronesque. The full lenght cut is also included in the Best Disco In The City 2-lp.
