    Yesterday I was in the library and noticed they had a copy of "Lifeguard" with Sam Elliott. I was wondering if this movie was worth watching?

    The story is lame, the production values just OK, but if hairy-chested, thick-mustached late '70s clone types turn you on, then be sure to GO FOR IT!

    You summed up "Lifeguard" perfectly. Pleasant little MOW type film with the HOTTEST leading man. Sam in his full glory--that face , that voice, that bod, that hair--SEXY,SEXY,SEXY--Katharine Ross is one lucky woman to have married Sam. I have an associate who had lunch with Sam and she described him as a "cowboy"--just what he seems on the screen.

    all this talk about Sam, and i don't know what he looks like,so i had to check him out. The three photos that come up on <<google>> hopefully do not do him justice....otherwise may i suggest:

    a) u need glasses

    Jack, you have got to be kidding! I tried the Google search too: Go back and click on the link titled "A Tribute to Sam Elliott," then click on "pictures" and check out the shots from Lifeguard and Mask. Woof! Sure, Sam's looking a little grizzled now, but in his day... wow! Maybe it depends on how old you are, or maybe you don't like the hairy-chested macho man type. To each his own.



    But Jeff Stryker? ZZZ. He's not unattractive, but nothing special as far as I'm concerned. And there are plenty of other guys out there (both in porn and in the real world) who have dicks that are just as big but don't come with that nasty attitude and with whom the action would be reciprocal.

    However, I would take the grizzled & gray Sam of today over Jeff Stryker any day.

    The Goddess is going to praise Sam ABOVE the waist....what he has below the waist can't help me in any fashion :grin: Sam has come a long way since his gawky, sleepy performance in FROGS. By the time he appeared in LIFEGUARD (which some of you like the way I like certain Vivid videos) he had really come into his own. He has become and actor who can keep his dignity in drivel such as ROADHOUSE, and he can steal your attention in fine films such as TOMBSTONE and GETTYSBURG. He certainly has become the number one "grizzled" character actor (I assume he must have been busy while they were casting BLADE, so they got Kris Kristofferson to do a Sam Elliot channeling).

    Sam Elliot rules!
