Yes, I have "Hollywood" Volume 1. It's a bootleg from the late 1970's on a yellow label. The only identifying cat # is DM-5001 with the long version clocking in at 6:05 and the short at 4:15. The sound quality is horrible, but it is a classic underground mixer.

There was actually 3 volumes that I know of, I have all three volumes, one and two does the intros almost the same with the repeated beat then DISCO. You are so right, the first one sounds horrible....I like the 2nd one better, the 3rd one is also better then the 1st one...the first one is a white colored label, 2nd one is a light blue colored label, and 3rd is a light orange colored label, The ones i have are like that....There is a disco mixer i'm also looking for, I don't know if it is a bootleg or not...I know it has these two songs sampled in it, D Train, tired of livin and you know the truth, keep on messin up, and Chaz Jankle, Glad To Know you.....

AFAIK "Hollywood " was the first original bootleg that start it all, I have the original acetate copy released by 'Sunshine Sounds' out of NYC, it was later found on vinyl everywhere, many others were produced using the same "Hollywood" name and editing style, but I suspect not by the same DJ. My copy says Mix by JAY, there was a link posted here a long while back with an extensive collection of bootleg's pictures and descriptions but I can't find it now. You should check ebay, I've seen a few pop up in there. good luck.

    LuiFalcon,

Have these both 1 and 2, these are indeed classics and probably nowhere to be found after 24 years.

If you are satisfied with mp3 files then you can find them on the web.... i know for sure 1 and 2 are out there.
