Why was there no follow-up to the Dean & Glover Produced release? I felt the ladies were used, vocally, to their best on that production. And, as a single release, it spawned more radio/club hits than any other, until "Hold Your Horses" came along. Not to mention, Dean & Glover are Master Storytellers, with their music.
I think once the ladies moved to Gold Mind, that was the end of their working relationship with Philly Groove, and I think Dean & Glover were probably employees of Stan Watson. They also worked on the Quickest Way Out/Flashlight projects. At least, they're credited with writing a number of their tunes. I'm not sure if they were also arranging and producing for them. Wonderful dance tracks like 'Who Am I', which was released under both QWO and Flashlight names, and 'Beginner's Luck' on Flashlight, are highly recommended if you haven't checked them out yet.

I just got my hands on the Flashlight LP, and while they wrote many of the tunes, Dean & Glover aren't credited as producers.

I did a little more research, and it looks like they got their start as writers at Motown, but at some point, wrote songs for Stan Watson's Philly Groove production in the mid to late 70s.
