Good Disco Songs on the Road

since I will be travelling quite a bit in the coming
    week (measured in European Standards)

I would like you all to suggest your favorite on the road disco song
while travelling in a moving weichle.......

From what I could later make a playlist perhaps
If you can't decide between to or three songs suggest all three

    My suggestion is

    Eddie Kendricks Keep on Truckin

If you drive on and on relentlessly in some bleak industrial landscape try the From Here To Eternity suite by Giorgio, followed by the original or the remix of Autobahn by Kraftwerk and Machine Gun by The Commodores. This music throbs robotically as huge powerplants or nuclear reactors become visible thru the rain, glaring illuminations of gas stations hurt your eyes and ambulances speed past to collect accident victims.

When you reach a city blaxploitation soundtracks and Italian action film scores work well, especially if it's night and you're feeling jittery and edgy from too many caffeine tablets. You get jammed in a roadblock and roll open the window. Lalo Schifrin lets the trash sitting in the next car know they better not mess with you - under your seat there could well be a cold Luger automatic or a Magnum 44, the most powerful handgun in the world that can blow their heads clean off! 8)

How about Warm Leatherette by Grace Jones, or the Flying Lizards.

...and speaking of Grace Jones - "Pull Up to the Bumper" (1981)

...although it isn't really about driving. :D

As you are driving along, beware of the horns honking in the song, otherwise you might mistakenly think someone is honking at you! :P
