Disco ID2.mp3 - 3.94MB
Thanks in advance!
I don't know either of these, but I can tell you for sure that the first one (DiscoID1.mp3) is from no later than 1977, because it's in an adult movie from that year. The movie featured lots of disco songs but has no credits, other than opening credits. I have wanted to know what this is forever -- unfortunately, putting any of the recognizable lyrics in search engines has done no good either ("baby, any way you want me you got me", also, "I get high on your love").
Disco ID2.mp3 is "You Can Get Off On The Music" by Le Pamplemousse. Took a while to find an online sample to confirm; go to Disco Boogie Megamix, scroll down to "Play List #10", it's Track 6.
I was obsessed with these 2 tracks, especially the first one, which I've finally identified. It's "I Get Lifted" by Sweet Music, which is a cover of a song originally by George McCrae, also recorded by KC & The Sunshine Band (it was co-written by KC). Remember I said I heard it in an adult movie? As it turns out, this track is also the B-side of the 12" of Jesse Green's "Nice & Slow", which is also used in the same movie.
Not all that memorable. The movie was called "French Teen" and I mainly remember the songs -- the ones mentioned above, plus "Spring Rain" by Bebu Silvetti, "I Can't Stop" by John Davis & The Monster Orchestra, and a few other gems from the mid-'70s.
