Best From Artist 41 - Hall & Oates

Hey efunk, I hope you're reading this especially since I hinted it would be about "blue eyed soul" :D
Frankly, I can't recall hearing any of their dance music at the discos pre 1981 but I like a lot of their songs so here we are. My pick for best is what I did hear at the disco, "Out Of Touch", followed closely by "Method Of Modern Love." Coincidentally, there in that order on the "Big Bam Boom" album.
    Find them and destroy them!

Paul my dear I must thank you for reminding me to add Hall & Oates to my "must get cd list" :P ! I have the greatest hits tape somewhere but its due time to get their cd. It's hard to pick just one fave from H&O so here it is:

    Method of Modern Love
    Say It Isn't So
    One on One
    Kiss On My List

Ah, I luvs me some Hall & Oates!!!!

Doesn't anyone recall the first H&O Disco 12" : "Running From Paradise"? I recently found the 12" remix and it's real good. I previously only knew the LP version found on 1979's "X-Static".

After that... "I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)" would be my other choice. I still recall hearing this at Troc in the early morning after they played Phyllis Hyman's "Tonight You & Me". I was in Disco Heaven.

Then there's "Say It Isn't So," "Out Of Touch," "Maneater," "Method Of Modern Love", and I guess "One On One" could be used as a "morning" track.
    "Lost inside adorable illusion...."

Lots of good stuff by these guys but "One On One" always stops me dead in my tracks. Beautiful song.

    Marky,

What label is "Running From Paradise" on? I don't have it in my stack.

NEVER MIND ---- FOUND IT in the pile.

I totally forgot about "I Can't Go For That" so I must add that to the list.

    Paul,
thanks for the reply on this thread :D
my picks in this order.. real similar to Quinny's picks:

    #1 I Can't Go For That (UK 12" 45rpm) I need to find this!!!!
    Lost this darn record

    #2 Sara Smile
    #3 She's Gone
    #4 Out Of Touch
    #5 Say It Isn't So

    #7 Maneater

I played in a predominately R&B club, but I forced #1 & #7 down they're throats (ha ha) i got dirty looks from some of the patrons but so what :p :D :D
