    Talking Stevie Wonder Produced Disco????

OK. Apologies in advance for not having enough info for this.
I've been searching for this for about a year after hearing it in a club.

The instrumentation sounds about circa 1976 or so.

I thought it sounded like a Stevie Wonder production because it sounds like a proto-disco, very funky, groovy track (I'm guessing between 118 to 124 bpm or so) with a very funky Rhodes or Clav keyboard (don't remember) that sounds in a similar vein to Stevie's keys on "Superstition" (just a similar vein mind you).
Also its a female singer with a skilled, very pleasant and soulful style, but after listening to Stevie's stuff with Minnie Ripperton, Dionne Warwick, Patti Labelle, The Supremes, Syreeta etc. I'm pretty sure its none of them.

It may not be related to Stevie at all.

I'm pretty sure there was a subdued male backing vocal that may have been Stevie or even Donny Hathaway (the male vocal was pretty low in the mix).

Searching in this vein I found Roberta Flack and Hathaway's "You Are My Heaven" but this is definitely not it. "You Are My Heaven" is less funky and the keyboard part much less pronounced than the one I'm trying to find.
Flack and Hathaway are a close match for vocalists, but I can't find anything of theirs that sounds funky enough.
Also their "Back Together Again" is nice, but also lacks the signature keyboard.

The track was also a bit lengthy, like disco 12" length. At least 6 to 8 minutes played in the club.
The track heard may have been a recent re-edit.

    OK, to review.
    - female vocal lead, pleasant soulful, skilled voice. Roberta Flack is a close match (IMO)
    - 118 to 124 bpm, proto-disco funk?
    - distinctive, very funky but classy clav or rhodes lead ala "Superstition" is very pronounced in the track.
    - subdued male backing vocals, sounds similar to Stevie Wonder or Donny Hathaway.
    - instrumentation sounds about 1976 or so, but this may also be a disco re-edit of an older track.

    Any help is appreciated!! Thanks!

    Unfortunately this ain't it.
Based on my hints, its definitely in the right vein tho.
But, wow thanks for reminding me of this also brilliant track.

"Don't Stop the Music" was one of those I remember hearing many times before over the years, whereas this one I'm looking for was a complete revelation when I heard it last year for the first time.

Could it possibly be 'Dont Make Me Wait Too Long' by Roberta Flack, as that's a Stevie Wonder song & it's funky disco in style. Stevie even appears briefly on the rhythmic break section, but he talks/raps rather than sings.

    Thanks but no...
The one I'm trying to identify is MUCH deeper, more funky, jazzy and that "superstition"-esque keyboard lead is like a second vocal part, its so pronounced.
It also sounds "pre-disco" with disco-ish drums, but more of a deep funky bounce in the back. Again this may be a re-edit of an older funk/soul/r&b number.

I'm going to try listening to the Stevie Wonder catalog DJ Spinna and Bobbito mixes and see if I can't find something that sounds like it. If I can pin it down I'll update here again.
