BV09 sounds to me like 1980's "Hot To Trot" by Alfredo De La Fe---you cut it off just when the violin sounds like it's coming back....the violin was the disctinctive sound [Stephane Grappelli-ish] here with back-up chicks singing "hot to trot/hot to trot/oooooooooew"...check that track out--Bobby used it a lot.

"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
BV01 is bringing to mind "Hold On I'm Coming' by Karen Silver....didn't listen to the actual record yet--but something tells me it could be an instrumental portion of that or else it's something that sounds like it!
BV02 sounds like the title might be "Love Explosion"??? Can't be sure...
BV03 is some version of the Richard Strauss " Thus Spach Zarathustra"--used in "2001: A Space Odyssey" ---first discofied by Deodato in the early Seventies; then by Salsoul Orchestra---this is not the SO version, probably not the Deodato either....
B05 is definitely "Smack Dab" as identified by FunkyChris
The others I have no idea!!! Sorry to be vague--those were my notes, maybe they will help another detective to come up with real answers!!!
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
Thanks Marky & Chris much appreciated :icon_mrgreen:
BV08: L.E.B. Harmony - Feeling Love
Sorry...learning english yet!! :icon_mrgreen:
-Brasil!-
A real love!
Thanks Renan :icon_biggrin:
BV06: is The Rolling Stones - Dance (Instrumental)
Rolling Stones, The - If I Was A Dancer (Dance Pt.2) (12", Promo) at Discogs
The Rolling Stones, wasn't expecting that! Thanks Ashley
BV01 is still drivin' me nuts!!! I played the Karen Silver "Hold On I'm Coming" and I don't think it's that... found the 12" and there is no instrumental version on b-side.
now I'm playing another one that is close--but not quite--
unless there is an instrumental version I don't have--only have the LP on this
..."Feelin' Good" by Sal Barbieri & The Royal Company (1980)
It's close but not exactly the sample...unless there is a b-side instrumental that has elements not on the LP version.
The answer is probably something that Bobby played between Karen Silver and Sal Barbieri that had elements of both but was neither---and that sequence is stuck in the cobwebby windmills of my mind!!!![]()
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
I've got the 12inch of Sal Barbieri and it isn't that as there isn't an instrumental mix on there :icon_confused:
Also the BV09 isn't Hot To Trot unfortunately checked it against an mp3. The bassline reminds me of Salsoul Orchestra's Love Break. There's also a short break with a guy saying 'uno dos tres quatro, clap your hands everybody, everybody just clap your hands.......' and something else which I can't quite make out
Andy
#3 is "La Nuit Blanche" by The Munich Machine
#8 is a bootleg version of "Love Is The Message" by Tee Scott (Brooklyn Express) on One Way Records
Thanks discokid :icon_mrgreen:
