Lawrence Welk and Disco? Be Afraid...

    ....Be Very Afraid....

All that's needed is a panel of judges...say Phyliss Diller, Jamie Farr and Dick Van Patten?

It's kind of scary, but I can see why it would be allowed on Welk, since only people over 50 and children under 9 watched that show. The dancing guy kind of looks like Glenn Campbell at some points. The comments people left on Youtube about this video are even more entertaining! :) Disco Funk

That was me! Saturday nights were Lawerence Welk, Jackie Gleason and The Hollywood Palace.

The guy dancing is Bobby Burgess, one of the original Mousketeers.

The funny thing is, the colors on their costumes were the same colors as our kitchen cabinets. The walls were contact paper with mushrooms...also the same colors.

That's gotta be Jim Carrey's father dancing...

It would also make a good promo for a citrus producer

May I put this piece on anthology over the stack of "embarrassment"?

Who said that Disco dancing was ridiculous?
