    Arrow Soeur Sourire: The Movie!

The only Belgian act (as far as I know) that made it to number one in the American charts was Soeur Sourire aka The Singing Nun. Jeanne Deckers (° 1933-+ 1985) was a real nun and became world famous with her song "Dominique".

After her massive success, Soeur Sourire became troubled with her Catholic authority when she had to pay taxes on royalties that never went to her but were paid to the convent.

In 1982 she released a Disco version of "Dominique", trying to make money for paying her debts but that version flopped.

She then founded a school for autistic children with her girlfriend Annie Pécher. Both women committed suicide in 1985.

Belgian actress Cécile De France is starring as the "Smiling Sister".

Every rabid Nun Fan like me will obviously be salivating&waiting for the cinema/dvd realese of this. And to think the film stars Cecile deFrance, the homicidal lesbian of Haute Tension/Switchblade Romance!

Good point but why not keep this a Belgian thing? Dan Lacksman, Marc Moulin, both from TELEX.

BTW, there's also a HOUSE version from 1995 and this one:
