30 years and still can't name that tune!

I only heard this song a few times around 1978-79 but love it's energy and rawness. Great sax with a thumping back beat; it just radiates passion! I caught a snippet of it off the radio on a cassette back then and these are the lyrics I've got:

For the record, 4455 realized it was the right song--he sent me a p.m.----it looks like he didn't see the answers that were given--but, at some point, he did.

Thanks to all of you who responded. Markydefad was first and if I'd've been paying attention I would've noticed he's already written back when I posted the audio clip. I've been listening to an almost continuous loop of the song from a link on youtube he sent me. It holds up really well. (I'll make it hot now, I'll make it hot now....)
