Hello
Someone has mentioned already The "new" Vince Aletti Disco file book in "Rank the Disco Book" post.
I just received the UK edition today and i can't wait to read it. I see it is full of Disco charts and reviews of disco tracks released between 1973 and 1978.
I would like to know if the US edition comes with a hard back cover. Does anybody know?
It's my intention to go thro' the charts and make sure i have ALL the records listed!!

Hi Mark!!!
Thank you for checking my entry. Do you know this book? Out of print already?
Hi Fabio,
I think it maybe hasn't actually been published in the U.S. yet--but it strangely says Out Of Print on Amazon --instead of pre-order only or not available until future date... :icon_question::icon_eek::icon_question:
Yes I definitely want to get this book!!!Looks like it will only be a paperback here also.

I finally got my book this past week and can't put it down.Even though I purchased the binder clad pages
that were being sold months ago, this is much easier
to read and there has also been some needed proof
reading. Also different,is the inclusion of charts that
weren't included in the other book(Attn:Marky)Little
nuggets that I just read-the background vocals on Karma's "Funk De Mambo" is Denice Williams and Syreeta! Also included for early buyers was a specially
mixed CD that was a tribute to the Polydor "Steppin'Out" compilation that was Vince Aletti supervised. The mixes are creative and flawless and worth the price of the book alone. This is essential reading and now goes into my #2 slot for favorite
disco books-right behind "Love Saves the Day" of course.Enjoy!
Oops-I think I posted this in the wrong forum-sorry Bernie!
Thom
Thommie, where did find the book? Amazon.com still says it is out of print and not available? Did you use Amazon.co.uk?

Marky and anyone else that has a passing interest in the roots of Disco, by all means, this book is essential...I haven't put it down since I received my copy, and there is a plethora of undiscovered gems mentioned in it's pages.
