thanks, Jamie, for the "Nocturna" factoid. Don't think I ever caught that flick, so I might have to check it out (if it exists on DVD or VHS, that is). Glad the soundtrack lives on, though !![]()
Hey Jamie,
Great stuff you've picked up. I'm just curious. How do you find the quality on that Lamont Dozier? I'm not talking about surface noise or scratches. But, I feel the sound is real flat. Like it only consists of Mid tones.
Anyway, maybe it's just my copy, I was just double-checking.
You gonna love that CD Band!!! I always wondered why Morali & Belolo were thanked for on this record. They don't appear in the records.
My favourite is Get Up And Salsa, great to mix in with Candido..
Hi Dysco,
Doesn't sound too bad to me, mind you my hearing isn't perfect either. On the other hand, the Flower 12" sounded a bit flat to me, and definitely the Dr Hook one.
These observations are based on using an Audio Technica AT95E on my Technics 1200. Have just installed a Shure M97xE, have heard good things about this cart.

Scott Allan - I Think We're Alone Now
Ruth Waters - Never Gonna Be The Same (disco remix version)
Splendor - All Night Long
The Movers - She Loves You
