    Still Need Help

I am a bit embarrased to ask casue this song still gets radio play in my country
I heard it the other day.... during a special event and I saw from a new light
before I didn't really fancy it.....

    Anyways here we go

    The Song
has someone with an (Emotions like voice) singing
    something like
Boogie on cha cha-mana (I am a bit uncertain about the last two words but it sounds something like that first I thought the Cha Cha-Mana was something like Barry Mannilow's Copacabana)
After the chorous there is this early electric keyboard being played...
I therefor suspect it must be somewhere between 80-84 best guess is probably 82.....

in my quest for this song
I have already found other greats like
Freddie James - Get up and Boogie
    Gregg Diamond - Bionic Boogie
    Sylvester - Boogie Fever

    my patience is thin

    Finally found it...
Altough it costed me a lot of nerve and pride

I had to make a total Ass of myself though

    By calling the Radio Station

First I wanted them to publish a playlist of their previous night on the internet or having them mail it to me but this the DJ wouldn't let me publish it

So he forced me to hummm the fucking tune
and then he ofcourse told me the title.....

    Too bad
no one here could help me....

Ok, let me say that I tend to keep an open mind when I read some of the post on this site, I realize that some tunes that are obvious for someone are absolute obscure for others. There are elements that influence one's musical culture, your age, your country, your own tastes.
    Now said that.:
    The Song
has someone with an (Emotions like voice) singing
Where is the similarity between the male husky voice of Dan I and the female high piched ones by the Emotions???? :o

Boogie on cha cha-mana (I am a bit uncertain about the last two words
Getting from "Monkey come chop Banana" to "Boogie on cha cha mana" ??? They don't even sound similar.. well maybe a bit!! LOL :P

it sounds something like that first I thought the Cha Cha-Mana was something like Barry Mannilow's Copacabana)
It is me or I really don't see any connection????

By all means, I think that the fact Sutnop obtained the name of the song is the best reward for posting a message that made me laugh so much!!!

    First of all
they do sing Boogie on cha cha mana
    or something like that

the Monkey Chop thing is only at the end of every hook coming in like an echo

As for Barry Manilow Copacabana it is a similar phrase to the word used after Boogie

Anyways know I have it and thats all that counts

    AS for the lyrcis
does anyone know a great Disco Database from where I can obtain them and confirm what he really sings in this chorous..........

    Okay, whatever you say, buddy,
    but the words are:

    Chop, Monkey Chop (twice)
    (Hey Baby
Mmmh, I'll never make you sad
    I always make you play.........
    .......................................
    That's alright with me

    "Monkey come chop banana,
    Monkey come chop banana,
    Monkey come chop banana
    Monkey come chop banana
    Monkey
    Hey, Monkey Chop!"

So, I'm afraid no "Boogie", no "cha-chamanas
and even less "Copacabana" (By the way Her name was LOLA )

    LITTLE KNOWN FACT:
"Monkey chop was written and produced by DAN-I but it was mixed and arranged by
TREVOR HORN (of Buggles, Frankie Goes to Hollywood and Art of Noise fame)
