the best slow jam by BARRY WHITE

    Hi,

this is my favorite ballad by BARRY WHITE: I FOUND SOMEONE (from his album I've Got So Much to Give, released in 1973).

What's your favorite slow jam by BARRY WHITE?

Zeca, it just so happens that my favorite slow song by Barry White is "I've Found Someone" also

2 other songs from the same period are cool also.

Ohio Players - I Want To Be Free
Average White Band - A Love Of Your Own

It's cheating slightly, I know, Zeca, but I have to go with the sumptuous Midnight And You by the Love Unlimited Orchestra.

Now that is a tasty slow jam!! Mmmm! :)

Love's Serenade and the slightly more mid tempo "It's Extasy when you lay down next to me" are my definite favorites.
    There was life after disco!!

I'd have to nix my anniversary if I don't pick all 10+ minutes of "I Can't Believe You Love Me" from the Can't Get Enough album.

But... if I were cheating I'd pick "Someone Really Cares for You" by Love Unlimited.

    Ok fellas, let's cheat!

I love LOVE UNLIMITED records. One of my favorite slow jams by this classic group is GOTTA BE WHERE YOU ARE, from the album LOVE IS BACK. This is a great album (it contains the hit I'M SO GLAD THAT I'M A WOMAN), I really dig this one. Other of my favorite songs by LOVE UNLIMITED, from the same album: I'M GIVIN' YOU A LOVE - perfect mid tempo song. BTW, their first album (the one with WALKING IN THE RAIN...) is a romantic masterpiece - pure and beautiful 70's mellow soul.

And BARRY WHITE, well, when we talk about slow jams, he's the ICON OF LOVE, you know? BTW, how's he doin'? The last news I heard from him was very bad: he was seriously ill. I hope he's better now and return soon to recordings and concerts.

Keep sending your favorite slow jams by BARRY WHITE.

    Peace,

    Hello Zeca,

An endless Barry White's love song like "Your Love - So Good I Can Taste It", 1977, can melt a stereo or a C.D. player. I like this song completely.

    My choice goes to:

"I Can't believe You Love Me" with "Never Gonna Give You Up" in second place.

For Love Unlimited, I'll pick "Walking In The Rain" :P .

    *DELIGHTFUL*

"Love's Serenade" contains the "classic" line...

"Take of your brassiere, my dear" Also, "we don't need no panties".

You gotta love that one!!!!

Right On! Marcio. How could I forget this? I bought this album (Is This What 'Cha Wont) twice and then got it on CD. "Your Love... " is a masterpiece. I love the way it's 'split', the first half music and the second half Barry gets it on. 12+ minutes of joy! I've used the first 6 minutes more than once on tapes. He builds it up sooo nice. :D
