This was released as a 12"? Now that's rather surprising. I doubt it's a remix, but could you please provide more details? (track time, b-side, etc).Originally Written by DJ Jimmy M
While the "Correlations" LP which this is from has a slight disco influence on some tracks, most of Ashra's material is about as far from disco as you can get. Then again, Manuel Göttsching (founder of the group) did have an underground club hit with E2-E4, but this was totally unintentional.
Ashra's "New Age Of Earth" LP is a classic, but of the electronica/chill-out variety. No boogie happening here.
Yea I have the LP too. But the 12" is on Virgin Records made in UK and its the same version as the LP, just better sound quality and the flip side is Bamboo Sands...which you are im sure familiar with from the LP...to me that flip sounds like "Supernature" by Cerrone with a Pink Floyd influence. But "Club Cannibal" is an underground disco classic which is what even made me aware of Ashra's exsistance and I had no clue what kinda music they were when I got hold of the LP which is also a UK import.
