alright i couldn't wait for the vinyl to be released (should be soon though) so i had to pick up the cd. absolutely essential. i have a few of the edits that i've picked up over the years and i could not wait to get my hands on this. i have listened to diana ross' "no one gets the prize" probably 40 times in the last 24 hours. what a f###ing masterpiece! haven't really gotten past that song to give much of a review, though i already have the cymanda & lenny williams and if you don't this is your chance. i have not heard the original jimmy simpson mix of ms. ross so I was wondering how different mr. krivit's mix is (9.08 in length). did it ever come out on 12" or was it an lp cut only? also, as i also love jimmy simpson's mix of "it's my house", i'm wondering if people can recommend other mixes he did.
For me it doesn't matter how little difference there is musically between the original and Krivit's edit. The fact is the one is Krivit and the other one isn't - nuff said. Just knowing his name is on the label, makes me confident that the track is dope, the **** etc. For Christ sakes the guy is a genius. I'd like to be re-edited by him myself!
Leather is the way forward!
