Prom Night(1980) hyped disco songs, anyone!?

Would anyone have a clue as to where or how I can get my hands on the songs in the movie "Prom Night"?! I've been searching and searching .. no soundtrack was released, so that's gr8, just makes my searching harder ... If anyone knows ANYTHING, PLZ let me know what you know, any help is greatly appreciated, Thank You!!

I did a search to see if I could find anything, but there doesn't seem to be any info on the songs featured in the film. All I could find was plot summaries, cast lists, etc.

Btw, did you know that movie was filmed in Toronto?

I've actually managed to find out that there really was a soundtrack released, but only in Japan!! Pretty cool how i'm answering my own questions. Oh well, if anyone's interested .. let me know! Cuz really, those songs are so wicked I believe ... I know i'm close, once I get it, I'll be posting! :lol: 8)

Was this the film that had a song called "Fade To Black" on it (think it was at the end of the film)? It was a slow song but I liked it so much that I taped it from the video. I also remember the "title track" which was very much more upbeat.

Yes, this is the film that has that song: "Fade To Black" by Gordene Simpson. The title track .. would probably be "Prom Night", I don't have a clue who it's by, but it's very upbeat and the woman has a nice voice ... very classic disco in my opinion.

I seen the music is by Paul Zaza and that it was provided by "HighStreet" .. don't know what kind of music company, but i'm searching for it! I think everything about this movie was totally underrated. *sigh*

I don't have the track list, but I am pretty sure about the titles of the tracks. Some are remakes, for instance: The title song "Prom Night" is an original, perhaps copying the beat of some other unknown song ... Of course, "Dancing in the moonlight", originally by King Harvest, was the most upbeat disco turnout from the original. There is another song, "Changes", i'm guessing is the title since that's all the women sing, don't know if it's a copy either. :roll:

There is another fabulous song titled "(time?) to Turn around" I'm guessing ... the singers sound alike as the ones in "Dancing in the moonlight." Followed by "Love me 'till I die", which has the exact same beat as "I will survive." And of course the end title song, which is fantastic might I add, "Fade to black" by Gordene Simpson .. That's all I'm guessing ... actually might be able to get the cd that's only in japan, so *fingers tightly crossed*.
