Do You Think There Is Disco In Heaven?

At this stage in my life, I am an agnostic. I question whether there is a God or afterlife. I tend to believe not.

However, I do think that man's mind is capable of many powers and quite possibly can create an afterlife.

I also believe that God is a very necessary "coping tool" (for want of a better phrase) in getting through life. For myself, I keep an open relationship with him and am spiritual in my nature and daily tasks.

I don't care much for organized religion. It's too politcal and sometimes I do stand against it.

But if there is a heaven, or afterlife....

.....is there disco?

Nothing would give me greater pleasure than to spend eternity in a disco.

Sort of like the ending of the movie Longtime Companion, when everyone returns to the Tea Dance.

I wonder many times if there's a Disco Church in the states. Like there's a church of Elvis. Never read something about it. Now, many Gospel choirs are of course very close to Disco and Soul so....

BTW, I never read about Satanists who listen to Disco :icon_eek:

And for the people that say they are agnostic, atheïst, whatever, remember that going to church every Sunday doesn't mean that you are a good Christian. Try to be good for the other people and that's what's really important, not the membership card of some organisation.

You are correct J..I do share that sentiment completley..
Disco was too great a gift ...I dont want people to think I'm all preachy because I think everyone is entitled there own belief
system but I feel that the greater power"mine is God"gave man the talent to do with that talent what he would .
It's called free will and the smart ones created Disco
yes I believe that there is a Disco Heaven because my interpretation
of heaven is that it's a place where everything makes sense to you and everything is centered around what makes you happy..So I know I'll be hittin the heavenly dance floor and all my friends that are already there cant wait ,because out of all my friends that did the hustle I was the only one that could twirl and follow.. haha

Let's just say that when I die (whether it's tomorow . . .or in 2050) . . .I sure hope the heavenly harps/strings I hear are something along the lines of a joyous "Shine On Silver Moon" as opposed to something like a morose "My Heart Will Go On".

It is having a brand new copy of your favorite 4000 Disco songs, 2 brand new 1200's a Pioneer 600, gold plated of course, a mega killer light show, a crowd of 1000 dancers all looking up at you in the dj booth.......and your standing there relizing,........there are no needles on your 1200's..................... Yes, there's definately a Disco In Heaven. With legendary DJ's like Larry Levan, & Tee Scott, who have left us here on earth, waiting for us to come up and party with them.

No invitations please, just come on in. The place NEVER closes. And the BIG "G" Himself shows up from time to time, in His Pure White on White, in White Suit. And clears the dance floor just like John Travolta did in Saturday Nite Fever!!!

Then Sammy Davis Jr., James Brown, Fred Astaire, & Gene Kelly, show up to have a Battle Royal on the Dance Floor!!! The BIG "G" Himself is up in the DJ Booth. He's spinnin' with 144,000 turntables at one time!!!

Sure, He's still spinnin' with turntables!!! He's an Old Skool DJ!!! When someone asked Him why does He still spin with turntables, He said: I BREATHED INTO MAN AND HE BECAME A LIVING SOUL!!! THEREFORE I AM THE AUTHOR OF SOUL!!! AND THE SOUL COMES FROM THE WAX!!! THOU SHALT NOT MIX WITH CD'S OR MP 3'S UP HERE, OR THOU SHALL PAY THE PRICE!!!!

I don't know about heaven but I saw it with my own eyes: there's disco in HELL! They showed what goes on down there over 2 years ago in an ad for an alcopop - can't remember the name of the product but I'm sure many of you are familiar with it: Karen Young's "Hot Shot" plays and in the foreground, a near naked totally red male demon sporting horns appears from green smoke bumping and grinding and holding a bottle of the alcopop, or cider or whatever the product was. An equally undressed female enters the frame, smiling and undulating suggestively. All around them, fallen angels and demons and those doomed to eternal damnation are boozing and dancing and having a blast! Had I been the dj I would have spinned "Hell Dance With Me" by Cappuccino but I quess they had to choose a more widely known track to lure in the gullible.
