I think youre being a bit naughty here Leiderman (or a bit naive!). The expression 'up the gary' is cockney rhyming slang for anal sex, the Gary in question being Gary Glitter. I think it highly unlikely that this will have anything remotely to do with Gary's Gang, the US disco group, don't you?!

Oh yes indeed, Forrrce, I'm well aware that Steely Dan is the name of a giant steam-powered dildo from William Burrough's 'Naked Lunch' & I'm so glad you picked up on this fact (I'm assuming you're referring to that! :-? ). I thought it would be a good name to use as it had this saucy angle & also at the time I was totally obsessed with the Fagen/Becker group of the same name.(I still love them, just not so obsessed!
