Another super gargantuan interview! It appears that she too has moved on and was not really all that attached to her "disco status;" the way I see it from the way she talks is that she is in the music biz, had a job to do, has a job to do, and will probably have a job to do and she could have very easily been an R&B, Soul, or Funk female artist but just happened to land into the disco cellar in the early 1970's. I think she loved disco and loves dance music but her first love is entertaining people which is understandable; in essence, Donna Summer is an entertainer first. Great interview.
Went on YOUTUBE and see a few of her ideos and live performances for her new album; great stuff. Some people (mostly young) complaining about her weight. Give me a break! For the Lord God's sake she is 60 years old (or somewhere in there)! I would say the people around her should get her to move around some and even dance a little more (Tina does it and she's pushing 70); but all in all, she is a great entertainer.
Bernie; when is discomusic.com going to have a convention? When are we going to make an impact on the dance/techno industry to start using the name disco again? Would like to see that before I leave this piece of dirt, and I would be willing to be a part of the movement!

I've been trying to open it up since last week. Anyone else having problems?
DANCE!!-To the BOOGIE WONDERLAND........
I truly like "Stamp your feet," but I am in love with "fame." That song is much different than anything Donna has done but shows her versatility and willingness to change with the times and be "up to date." Also, Donna's 20th #1 hit.
I hope the Top 40 and Pop Radio Stations pick up on some of her songs.

This is a great one. Thanks for the post!
"Way down in Louisiana close to New Orleans; way back up in the woods among the evergreens; stood a log cabin made of earth and wood; lived a country boy named Johnny B. Goode; Who never ever learned to read and write so well but he could play the guitar just like wringin a bell"umgd
good interview, I enjoyed it. But honestly, I always prefer interviews like the ones Dayna does, where the questions come from the artist's fans. The very first question I would have asked Donna is about her family, I'm sure that would have put her at ease. And I can't for the life of me figure out why ANYONE would ask her about rap (at a couple of points the interviewer sounds a bit tongue tied, like he wasn't fully prepared). She tripped him up when she asked him to name 3 songs off her latest album and he could name only one. I also would have asked her if she's aware of how many other artists are covering her songs these days....that question would have been high on my list. And I'd still like to know if her tour will be released on DVD. But thanks for the interview, sorry if I sound like I'm nit picking.
