It's "Take Off" by Harlow, originally released on Celsius records in Canada, later reissued on Rio.
Ok, heres a really hard one for all you experts out there. This is the one song i never got the name of or heard again after it got HEAVY play in the Boston/P-town area in the late 70's.Female lead vocal, some of the lyrics:
"Satifaction guarenteed,
A destinations all I need-
get a little bit of lovin'-
and make it last-
forget the past"
"hey, whats the time of day?
seems like I've been away-
free to be the way I feel-
to-day"
Also a list of gay meca city names called out in btween choruses by male background singers-
"New York!"
"Fran-cisco" etc....

"Take Off" is the one of the most asked for records. I was recently asked at a record store in Silver Lake by a very unlikely-discogoer grandfather type!!!!! The people that ask never have a clue what the title is. They ask for the disco song with the big city names shouted out. I always thought it should be titled "Satisfaction Guaranteed" myself.
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
Wow, thanks guys, that was fast! :D
Question...what is this french pressing 12" I have of "Take Off" on Champagine Records. Has the 11 min Harlow on side A then on side B has the 7 min version of "You And Me" by Spargo and "Margarita" by Massara.

The Champagne 12" is somewhat different from the album version, a bit punchier and the sound quality is better of course. However, the orchestration is more ornate on the album.
This Champagine Records 12" was the same version I used to hear in the club as well...so the LP is different? Cool, i'll have to find it sometime :D
