QUINNY...That sounded like you had a blast. Oh what memories. Everytime I hear certain songs, many nights come flying back. I'm so happy to have lived those days. Like you said there are many, many nights to remember. I can't really say a certain time. The 70's and 80's were a time that I was coming out. I was meeting new people and finally seeing "HEY! I WASN'T THE ONLY GAY PERSON IN TOWN".
The bars were packed. Every bar that I went to was packed with people dancing to songs like "Haven't stopped dancing yet", "Funkytown", "Celebration". God! What I wouldn't give to be back there. Sorry I can't give you just one night, but there were lots of mornings I woke up with a hangover swearing off drinking, only to be back at the bars that night with friends to do it all over. One of the nicest memories I have is a simple matter of asking the DJ to play "Feels like I'm in love" by Kelly Marie. It's when it first came out, but he wouldn't play it for me right away, he would always wait until it was the last song..then that music would fade in, everybody started screaming and packing the floor. Even if you didn't have a partner you'ld get on the floor. It would be sooo packed. Then those last couple of notes from the song would end, the lights would come up. It was magic. 8)
QUINNY..I must admit, those were the days. I can only say this, a lot of my friends are gone leaving me with only memories of the great disco days I had with them. I hope heaven is one big dance place where they're dancing all the time. And I hope when I get there, happy hour would just be starting, and Patrick Cowley would be spinning
"Menergy". I can't wait to hear others tell tails.....
Ok, another great time I remember IS happy hour, sitting around the bar with my friends before the bar would get busy and before the DJ would start, and just laugh and have fun and listen to 45's on the jukebox. Oh yah.....and cruise. :D
\"Dancing the night away\", forever!!!
Don\'t give up the dance.
