I knew that they used "Don't Turn Away" as their sports theme, I didn't know it was inspired by an earlier theme for the NFL. I always thought it was an odd choice as a theme for the NFL, thanks for showing me the connection.

"Don't Turn Away" is one of those overlooked T.K. Disco gems.

It is pretty good somehow. I keep going back to it. .... :icon_cool: Did this discofied version get used on NBC too??

Would be better I think if it sounded less sporadic --- more consistent.
As it goes along ,it seems to employ every trick out of the disco game book at the time. & don't know why with females softly cooing repeatedly a limited lyric like this .... they'd come up with something as benign as:
    "Don't turn away" ...? ?

    Credits:

    Producer Kevin Gavin-
    Written-By McHugh,Gavin, Murphy -

This is the only musical creation by these guys listed so far at Discogs ... disco or otherwise .....

Yes, the disco version was used on the air, and I agree, it sounds very choppy, (some abrupt edits) or sporadic as you said. I love the percussion break in it and the rising strings, as well as the female vocals, it has all the elements that I love in a disco song, I just wish it was structured a bit better.
