Which house record had the most re-mixes???

Hey guys!!! I've decided to visit this neck of the woods and start a new thread. For all of us who love to dance, listen, & spin House Music, I have a little quiz to tickle your funny bones!!!

Checking back through your archives, which House Record, had the most re-mixes, be they domestics or imports???

I would start by saying that it was Jomanda's - Make My Body Rock. Jesus Christ, it seemed like everytime I ran to the record store, a different re-mix was being sold!!! Lil' Louis's - French Kiss, was another one!!! Does anybody agree? Can you think of any others?

Found this thread when I went in search of the answer....
whats the most remixed song ever? - DVD Talk Forum

Of course, if you count unofficial mixes, there's no way to know, now that some acts are providing "stems" of their songs in Garageband or U-mix format.

Depeche Mode-Enjoy The Silence.Countless house remixes among with some very good trance (not my cup of tea) and techno mixes (Dave Clarke etc).

Another track is Age of Love which has been remixed quite a few times.

It just has to be a toss between Baby wants to ride,House Nation or Love can't turn around.

You're right about Love Can't Turn Around, KDavid. Farley Keith aka Farley "Jackmaster" Funk must've put out about 3 of them. I have 2 Domestics, and I believe there was an Import that came out too!!!

I always wondered how Issac Hayes felt about this record, if he ever heard it:icon_question:

It was first sold as a house record, and I think it's gotta be "Finally" by CeCe Peniston..

    From GoMix’s Blog

"GoMix has made Metro Station’s ‘Shake It’ into the most remixed song of all time.

Tens of thousands of people have remixed it, and over 2,500 finished mixes have been saved so far. Not bad."

I'd pick "you used to hold me" Ralphi Rosario / Xavier Gold
    sampled, and remixed to death

I'm feelin' you on that Disco Kid!!! There was a Double 12" that came out back in the late 90's that was nothin' but re-mixes. Some were pretty good, but there's nothing like the real thing!!!

Voodoo Ray by A Guy Named Gerald had quite a few re-mixes too, along with Can You Feel It by Mr. Fingers!!!

I remember back in the early 90s I must've heard over a dozen remixes from Alison Limerick's 'Where Love Lives' but not including Frankie Knuckles' work. Another one was from Nightcrawlers 'Push The Feeling On', and even today they're still being remixed with newer sounds. Just goes to show you what an acapella track can do for a DJ nowadays! :icon_razz:
