Hello my disco music friends. I have not been here in the longest time so happy 2009 to all.
Now over the holidays, I came across an interesting 80s funk mix that contains several tentalizing tracks, the least of which is this one. Please help identify. The refrain goes by: "Come and Rescue Me". Thanks a bunch.
Please by patient and go through the motion when clicking this link. Free users have to wait 15 seconds and then enter the stickie code. Pluche. I don't recall the handy file server most used around here. If someone was kind enough to remind me, I'd appreciate.

Hi again Pluche,
Yeah, several uploadsites are used here by forum members.
A few which i know of, have a mediaplayer attached to it when uploading a track :
1 - DivShare
2 - eCommercePlayer
3 - MailBoxDrive
For some illogical technical reason, you have to re-confirm the artists' name and its' songtitle,
and that's where their upload-system went stubbornly blocking my transfer-process ... UGH! (lol)
4 - zShare
Some uploads on this site's mediaplayer simply won't play on my pc, so i've used this one much lesser lately.
A few others without a mediaplayer (...as far as i know of...)
5 - MediaFire
6 - MegaUpload
7 - SendSpace
When downloading here, it often notifies that their site has too busy traffic, after clicking on the DL-link. ( A little too often in my opinion. :icon_rolleyes: )
Rarely have i managed to download succesfully over there. (...shaking my head, lol...)
8 - YouSendIt
There are tons more. There's even a site where, in case you have uploaded an album
or loose track on various sites, you can unite those site-links again in one upload.
Haven't figured out yet how that technically works though.
GoodLuck!

Thank you so much Boogyjuice. You funk my world! I'm a big fan of Loose Ends and just now I can recognize the female singer's voice. I guess one loves what one knows and I can attest to maybe four or five tracks from them.
And the upload site I remember using the most here was "Yousendit" So I'll go back to that because I have a few requests coming up and as I recall it made it simply enough on users.
Glad i could help Pluche
Loose Ends recorded indeed great work. One of my fave albums is "So Where Are You" from around 1985.
They covered on that album the classic song "The Sweetest Pain" by the great Dexter Wansel from Philly.
Worth to check imo. I think the album might be available on iTunes, in case you buy music there.
Amazon sells much downloadable albums too these days. Yeah, the voice of the leadsinger instantly connected me to Loose Ends.
She has a recognisable tone in her voice. Looking forward to your next searches, and welcome again to the Disco Fever here onboard, lol.
