Anyone ever mixed DS's "Our Love" with "Blue Monday"?

"Our Love" by Donna Summer and "Blue Monday" by New Order.

I've always thought those two would be a natural mix, since they've both got that: duh. duh. dadadadadadada-duh. duh. beat going on.

    Anyone out there done it?

I've read that Summer/Moroder's "Our Love" was the inspiration for New Order's "Blue Monday/The Beach".....never heard it mixed in a club---but I bet it would work well....

    found this in Wikipedia:

According to Bernard Sumner, "Blue Monday" was influenced by four songs: the arrangement came from "Dirty Talk", by Klein + M.B.O.; the signature bassline with octaves came from Sylvester's disco classic, "You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)"; the house beat came from "Our Love", by Donna Summer; and the long keyboard pad on the intro was sampled from the Kraftwerk song "Uranium", from the Radio-Activity album.[2] In an interview for Channel 4's countdown of the biggest selling UK singles, the band claimed to have written the song in response to crowd disappointment at the fact that they never played encores. This song, they say, allowed them to return to the stage, press play on a synthesiser and leave the stage again. An example of this happening appears on New Order's concert video Pumped Full of Drugs.

In early 83, the very first time I heard Blue Monday was on CKOI 96,9 FM radio Montreal, it was a canadian exclusive release on the air. I've had this idea and called the DJ Denis Proulx to suggest him to give it a try with DS Our Love. The next day his show started with DS followed by New Order, it was a blast that I'll always recall. I still remember heading to the DJ record store (Pierre Musique, downtown Montreal) purchasing this new vinyl from New Order in an unusual sleeve that looks like a 5¼inches computer disk. Blue Monday was very popular in clubs, but I still think Bizarre Love Triangle was bigger since it was one of THE club anthems for a decade. I don,t recall other tracks lasting that long in clubs.
If you buy this record your life, will be better.
