Im listening to a RealAudio mix at the mo and this track....

(synth keys over hi-nrg style bassline with female vocal)

    Shoobedoowop...Cant believe...
    Shoobedoowop...Cant believe...
    Shoobedoowop...Cant believe...
    Shoobedoowop...Cant believe...

    (lyrics begin:)
I was walking down the street
    Walking on a steady beat
    Suddenly I saw my feet
Start to dance and make me free
I know you can do it
    Everybody can do it
    Everybody can do it
    make it happen
    it could happen

    Shoobedoowop...Cant believe...
    Shoobedoowop...Cant believe...
    Shoobedoowop...Cant believe...
    Shoobedoowop...Cant believe...

Bernie, I'm sure I read somewhere that Nancy Martin ("Can't Believe") and Nancy Martinez ("For Tonight") are the same singer. Atlantic just shortened and de-Latinized her name for the earlier release. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

    Marky,

Glad to hear some further confirmation on this and that it's not the voices in my head.

Apparently Atlantic liked changing artists names for dumb reasons. They did it to Suzy Q (Get on Up and Do It Again) when they shortened her name to just Suzy for her "Can't Live" release so she wouldn't be confused with Stacey Q (Two of Hearts).
