A new book called "Donna Summer - Her Life and Music" is now available and the author sent me a copy for review. It's a 195 pages with a few B/W photos documenting her rise to fame and the many controversies along the way.

Haven't had a chance to read the whole thing, but the reviews over at Amazon are overwhelmingly negative.

Apparently the author, Josiah Howard, was not granted an interview with Donna Summer, but instead seems to quote other sources and adds his opinions on various topics.

I'll post my impressions once I get a chance to finish the book, but I would like to hear opinions from those who may have read it already.
