Always liked People Like Us especially "Restless Hearts" and "Deliverance." Have those on 12 inch singles. Didn't know they were from South Africa though.
I had to share this with someone ... I found a very old cassette tape of People Like Us - pretty rare stuff considering they come from South Africa. :o Anyway, with a little help from my PC and Cool Edit I dumped the lot to PC, cleaned it up, and now have it on CD.
Man, what memories that stuff brings back!! :)

People Like Us are Cindy Dickenson and Angie Gold.
They had released the album "People Like Us" on PASSION label (England). It contains 9 tracks. I have this CD.
BTW, Angie Gold also did 2 albums solo: "Angie Gold" and "Applause". Both are really cool.
A few notes on the South African dance act:
-Paul Crossley, the producer and co-writer, was absolutely hilarious.
-Deliverance caused quite a stir with the certain church leaders in RSA because of its lyrical content
-Hilton Rosenthal, legendary music executive who aided Paul and Terry Owen on this project also worked on the Graceland album with Paul Simon in some capacity

Deliverance and Midnight Lover are both HINRG dance classics 8)
I also love the tarck RESURRECTION which they recorded on PASSION records with fab vocals by UK diva ANGIE GOLD - the 12" release is very rare and hard to find... I did have the LP released by PASSION but it went "missing" whilst I was DJiing... :(
