I didn't realize she passed away either.
R.I.P. Vicki Sue
Sometimes they're leaving us way too soon.
It's kinda funny in some way... Some months ago, there was a thread on dead disco artists, causes of their deaths, etc. It took almost 10 pages and I compiled a list of all the people mentioned. Then, today I found a copy of Vicki Sue Robinson's "Never gonna let you go", went to AllMusic.com to check out the review... and found that Mrs. Robinson died of cancer on April 27, 2000 (she was 46). Bernie had mentioned this in a DJ interview but I hadn't seen it... I'm wondering if I'm the only one, because nobody mentioned dear Vicki on that thread.
Well... another one who is not anyore amongst us.
It don't mean a thing (if ain't got that swing)

Here in the United States most of the local new channels as well as VH1/MTV and a number of local newspapers and magazines reported Vicki's death back in 2000. (I wasn't aware of this website at the time of Vicki's death so that's I why I didn't post the news) It was so shocking to hear. I didn't even know she was sick. It was a tragedy. Her career was starting to pick up again in the last couple of years of life. She was having a successful run on a off-broadway biographical show entitled "Behind The Beat" here in N.Y., had appeared on independent films "Red Lipstick" and "Death Of A Supermodel", was featured on a number of talk shows like "Ricki Lake" and "Jenny Jones" and her single, "Move On", had made Billboard's top 10 Dance chart. Her great talents have been and will continue to be missed.
