happy birthday - Stevie Wonder
would be appropriate for me
I can't think of another disco song for a 7yrs old, otherwise you should consider soundtracks for kids
merry xmas and happy birthday to her :icon_mrgreen:
I'm making a video of my daughter's birthday and I want to put some "background" music into the production. What's a good disco "birthday" or "party" song? I don't want to use "Celebration"...it's just too worn out. I was thinking Deodato's "Happy Hour" but while I love the tune, the words don't really lend themselves to a 7-year-old's birthday party!
Any suggestions out there?

If you buy this record your life, will be better.
Well, DiscoPhil . . . if you're still working on that tape, I'd suggest "Life Is Music" (fun-themed lyrics) and if your 7 y/o is the apple of your eye . . then "Heaven Must Be Missing An Angel" might be considered appropriate.
Hope she has a happy b-day :icon_exclaim:
Along the same lines; The original version of Bonnie Pointer's "Heaven Must Have Sent You" might lend itself well, to your needs.
It's on the original LP release (quickly replaced by the Disco remix, on the 2nd pressing) and it's the b-side of the 12" single.
Done in a 6/8 shuffle beat, it has a much more light & bubbly, pop-music sound than the Disco mix did.
And, of course, there's always Stevie Wonder's "Isn't She Lovely" (written for his own daughter), on the "Songs In The Key Of Life" LP.
"MUSIC IS AN EMOTION, SEARCHING FOR IT'S VOICE"
