Desperation's got the best of her

This one sounds more techno-poppish, from a cassette circa 1984. A guy sings:

She never wants to lose herself in illusions
she thinks about it every day, the confusion (?)
she don't have to worry (to worry), love will ..... in a hurry
she's scared (so scared), desperation's got the best of her

Never want to rest to meet your love, babe
anything can happen to someone like you
so let it in, desperation's got the best of you

    BRIDGE
Can you turn it around and make love back to me
can you turn it around, the very thing she could be
all I want is just another dance
give me time around and make love back to me

    (trumpet solo)
    ------------------------------------------------------

It has not a chorus, really. Hope this helps, there are probably some mistakes in the lyrics here and there.
It don't mean a thing (if ain't got that swing)

This sounds like Gino Soccio's "Turn It Around."

Oops! Shame on me, Bernie. I should have known it was him... After all, I'm a fan of his work. I understand this came out in the LP "Remember" from 1984... The last full Soccio LP I remember hearing is "Face to face".

    Gracias, amigo!

I have been searching for this song for quite some time, and I finally found it here. Thank you.
