This could be Thelma Houston, it sounds like she in her "96 tears" era. Founded it in an old cassette and it goes like this:

It has a nice guitar riff, and the backtrack it's similar in sound and speed to that of "Get on up and do it again" of Suzy Q, but without the clap track.
Pretty funkydisco from around 1981.
