LOCOMOTIVE by Passport AG..can you shine a little light on this one, apparently a rare track or not? By the way, Boodikka, I found DOWN BY THE DOCKS by Sailor and indeed, that is a gem as you put it. - BOMBERS were ahead of their time surely, I just tried The MEXICAN and PISTOLERO too - weirdo dub stuff!

Perhaps you already registered and thought it didn't go through?

Try logging in with your old info and see. If worse comes to worse, re-register under a slightly different name.

Hi Jussi! "Locomotive" (or "Locomotive GT) was a great track by 70s jazz group Passport (when I write "AG" after a track, it's to denote that it is available on AudioGalaxy). Were you able to locate the 12" version of "Down By The Docks"? AudioGalaxy only seems to carry the 7" version.

I'm glad you liked the Bombers! I've always liked the them, but I've NEVER heard "Pistolero". Now I have to hear that as well.

I'll add a contemporary song to my list: Bare Naked Ladies "One Week (Remix)".....the song from the Mitsubishi Lancer commercial. It's available from AudioGalaxy.

All your ultimate desires of passivity unleashed, you must prostrate yourself before Luisa Colombo. I don’t know what this woman looks like but on MARACAIBO she sounds like she is coming thru the speakers to tear you apart as she sings about nitroglyserine, cocaine, rhum and machineguns. This track is what they were playing at the world’s hottest tropical nightclub just before the place exploded with massive John Woo-type slo-mo gunfire in 1981. Get this record. Thanks Giovanni for introducing me to Ms Colombo.

Boodikka - my DOWN BY THE DOCKS might well be the long version. I got the album and the track is around 5 mins. Passport - I think I have the record, actually! Now that you mentioned jazz, there are probably loads of interesting cuts on many of those endles GRP - or what was it the label was called - cocktail jazz vinyls that people kept on buying during the early-to-mid 80's, stuff like Dave Valentin etc. We'll need to look into those now. - PISTOLERO is on the Bombers 2 album, check it out!

Hey Delight. Now you're gonna make me pull out the Jacksons and play "Let Me Show You."

    Nicky,

Hey! Congratulations on learning how to create a CD! Your software must be working!

Do I hear a danceable jazz CD coming on?

Who does the version of "I'm A Man" that's on your CD? I always loved Chicago's incredibly percussive version. I used to dance to that back when I was just a jit.

    Hi Leanmean,

What's that old jam... "It Ain't Me, Babe". You're going to have to ask Nikkyo whose version of "I'm A Man" he (she? oh, damn!) used. Still love you girlfriend.

Oops! Sorry Nicky. I couldn't recall your new handle. I guess it's nicknack, not nykyo or whatever. Anyway, maybe this person will tell me which version!!
