For all those who tried to help me, I finally identified the song with the help of the Puerto Rican file room manager at my office who moonlights as a DJ - it's Give Me Your Love by Sylvia Striplin! Obviously I was very off on the lyrics but am so happy to have solved that mystery! Thanks again everyone...
