She got old. Oops! That wasn't very nice.
Actually, I recall reading a short article about her last year that she didn't have any desire to go back into acting. Let's hope she changes her mind.
Hey guys and gals,
what happened to JANE FONDA? Why she's not making movies anymore? I'm curious about it. Any info?

I remember reading somewhere that the reason Jane Fonda is no longer acting is because when she married Ted Turner he demanded that she retire from acting.
Jane is now a born-again Christian. This was partially the reason she and Ted Turner split up. He couldn't get with the new program.
Jane is quite a character. When she gets into something...she does so with a vengeance. From "Barbarella" to "Hanoi Jane" to "Aerobics Queen" to "The Perfect Corporate Wife" to "Born-Again". It's been quite a life!!!!!
"Ch-ch-ch-ch-CHANGES"!!!!!!!!
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
Wow, she's really looking for something, eh? Anyway, I miss her on the movie screen. She was one of the last movie stars Hollywood produced that you can call "adult", you know what I mean?Originally Written by markydefad
Peace,
zeca azevedo, turn and face the strange
Yeah Zeca, Jane showed after all that she is a wonderful actress sometimes. Problem is, she has lost that wonderful body she had in the 60's![]()
Sometimes she got too serious and made unconvincing moves, like that prostitute character who went to a psychoanalist :D in "Klute", or Hanoi Jane like Marky pointed out. She's a bit like old John Lennon, huh? She throws herself into whatever she is at the moment, be it bimbo-isness, politics, etc. Maybe she's a Gemini sign, I dunno.
Certainly it would be great to see some of her political correctness in the USA on these days... But I still miss her "Barbarella" days. That movie is just an incredible sex snack. That scene in the "sex-death organ"... Vadim knew how to get that from a woman, fellas! 8)

I remember when "9 to 5" first came out, we all laughed hysterically during the "funny cigarette" segment. Why? Because most of us sitting in the audience were as high as they were on the screen!!!
Hey keefelc..... :D You too huh?? That was such a fun movie. Lily Tomlin is such a funny lady. I loved the dream scene of how she kills the boss....that brings back some fun memories. Nothing like a good movie and.....one of those "funny cigarettes". :D fffffsssssssss....aaahhhhh!!
YES!! LOVE THAT JANE GAL.....
Take care.
I'm gettin' the munchies....... :P
