Hi everyone,
Some time tonight the site will go down for an extended period of time as we move to a bigger and better server. If all goes well the outage should only last from thirty to sixty minutes, but there could very well be problems where the site could be down for hours. Sorry for any inconvenience this will cause, but the site should improve as far as speed and stability from this upgrade.

Sorry folks, but it's still not done. More outages to come today and possibly throughout this weekend (12/11-12/13/2008) so please be patient. Some of these could close down the ENTIRE site for an extended period of time depending on circumstances. Thanks for your patience, but the site will be better for all because of it.

Thanks everyone for being patient and enduring the multiple outages yesterday and today. You should notice a marked speed increase in accessing the site especially the CPU intensive forums. The site seems to zoom now!!!
As is always the case after one of these upgrades, I need everyone to let me know on this thread if they notice any strange bugs. If you do, please be SPECIFIC as to what the problem may be and I'll try to correct it. Also, there may still be some sporadic outages, but hopefully nothing major. Thanks!

Just discovered an interesting bug that may be related to the recent server move: If anyone gets a blank page saying "Invalid characters..." then you MUST delete any cookies in your browser that say discomusic.com. Once you delete the cookies everything should be fine. Until I can find the source of the problem deleting cookies is the only way to cure the problem. Thanks for your patience and sorry for the inconvenience.
