I was hearing about how Washington is in free fall right now with agencies no longer doing their jobs as many people are already seeking new jobs or just waiting for restructuring come January . Going unchecked in this climate ...some lending institutions are already reasssigning loans and mortgage schemes not unlike those that have helped cause current troubles .....ones that'll repeat a similar crises a few years down the road ... but with no one watching the chicken coop the greedy money foxes have moved in.
So it occurred to me maybe we as a nation cannot afford to suffer even two more months of this current President's inability to do his job.
I mean seriously .....why are we putting up with this tomfoolery for even another second .....!! :icon_evil:
Then this appeared today on the very subject:
from the votemaster @ Electoral-vote.com: President, Senate, House Updated Daily
Many people are worried that the economy may completely collapse before Jan. 20. While President-elect Obama repeatedly says we have one President at a time, the current one seems completely absent and is doing little to deal with the economic crisis.
Secretary Paulson appears to have given up on his original plan to buy up all the toxic securities and doesn't seem to have any new one to replace it. So in a time of great crisis, the ship of state is drifting aimlessly with the captain asleep at the wheel. Tom Friedman suggested yesterday that Bush fire Paulson immediately and appoint Geithner as secretary of the treasury so he can get to work immediately.
Another NY Times columnist, Gail Collins, went further and suggested that Dick Cheney resign as Vice President and then George Bush resign as President to let House Speaker Nancy Pelosi become President until Jan. 20 since she would take her marching orders from Obama. Neither is likely to happen.

you'd still be waiting for me at the airport
while my ship was coming in
Isn't it time that all of you Kool Aid drinkers suffering from "Bush Derangement" just drop it and move on?
Sheesh, will the hysteria ever end?![]()
That remains to be seen as he's filling his administration with Washington insiders.Change Has Come
I hope the guy works out. We'll see...:icon_question:
I know what you're saying .... but one trouble Jimmy Carter had with shaking up Washington was bringing in too many outsiders. You need to have people already familiar with running thru the maze in order to reshape it.....
So ... by that do you mean you hope Obama can succeed in straightening out the messes your guys have left us with ????I hope the guy works out. We'll see...:icon_question:![]()

Yes. I voted for W twice but I've been disgusted with his second term - "Free Trade", The Wars and the Wall Street scandals. This economic "melt down" is no happenstance - stupidity, greed and corruption perhaps but no accident...
Find them and destroy them!
