Boris' "Festival" concept was quite interesting, because in many respects it sounded unlike his others. His working of "Evita" songs sounded commercial, unlike his earlier works. Yes, his sound is an acquired taste but I must say that his sound was unlike no other, even in terms of Eurodisco. His "Love's Coming/Baby Love" medley is my all-time favorite; the strings and the breaks that venture into different areas just make that sound so good. I remember hearing it for the first time on WKTU (Hustle Baby, we have the same source
) around 1997, during KTU's "Funhouse" mixes with Jellybean. He had mixed Teri DeSario's "Nothing Gonna Keep Me From You" into "Love's Coming/Baby Love" and that was so awesome to hear that.
The first Midney song I ever heard was "Come Into My Heart" from Billboard's Top Dance Hits 1978 cd. I also liked his "Catch The Rhythm" tune (Caress).
