Sarah Palin:
Reporting from Phoenix --
Sarah Palin left the national stage Wednesday, but the controversy over her role on the ticket flared as aides to John McCain disclosed new details about her expensive wardrobe purchases and revealed that a Republican Party lawyer would be dispatched to Alaska to inventory and retrieve the clothes still in her possession...
For weeks, the McCain-Palin campaign has dealt with the fallout from the disclosure that the Republican National Committee was billed for $150,000 in wardrobe purchases for the Palin family -- a discovery that was widely ridiculed and undercut Palin's hockey mom appeal.
Several McCain aides said they had recently discovered that Palin's traveling staff had used personal credit cards to spend as much as $20,000 to $30,000 on additional wardrobe items for Palin.

(paraphrasing... sort of):
"Jeesh I don't even get a new wardrobe out if this zany madcap adventure???
Besides I've already said when I'm through wearing them I'd give these nice clothes to charity .... so you see, even the less fortunate get a turn at wearing them too . Isn't trickle down economics wonderful ? ??"

Worldexclusive: the Republican ticket for 2012:
Palin/Plumber
Remember you read it here first!
Rems: a bit off the subject here, but yesterday I went to Amoeba in the Haight (11/6).....you may want to check it out soon, someone sold a boatload of disco records there recently. But don't you dare buy any of the ones I still want! (I ran out of money and could only buy 4!)

I got the THP Orchestra, L.A.X., Patrick Cowley's Remix album (don't like it, though), Company B., the 3 Degrees (Giorgio Moroder produced 3D), Theo Vaness, Van McCoy, Heat's "Flower"....but they had a LOT of good disco (Sylvester, Carol Douglas, Lime, Costandino's Romeo and Juliet and lots of other good titles that I already owned). And most of these were $1.99. Couldn't use my charge card because they don't accept American Express, and I'm finding more and MORE businesses that don't accept AmEx (which I THOUGHT was the most popular charge card in the country.....). And at Rasputin's I bought the "Dance in Canada Volume 1" Cd. I'm VERY impressed with it! I like both the sound quality and the song selection....I highly recommend it if you can find it.
