do you think someone at Atlantic Records in the U.S.A. was inspired by this album artwork...
nothing could top the import album art work, why the powers that be thought the U.S. market was too prudish to accept it, I'll never know...I do like the U.S. artwork as well, it's a bit more subtle to say the least, but it is a great image.
Discokid, I've never heard of that Cleveland Symphony Orchestra. Is it Disco too? Worth looking for?
So they only like jumped a little bit on the Disco bandwagon with their cover :icon_mrgreen:
It's an original way to sell classical music![]()

I think you misunderstand...The Cleveland Orchestra LP came out first, in the late 1950's with the album art featuring the interlocking hands that then appeared on the Cerrone U.S. LP, not the exact same picture, but close enough to make me wonder if someone at Atlantic records U.S. borrowed the idea from the Classical LP for the Cerrone LP that came out in 1976.
Yes I got that wrong. So Cerrone's American cover is based on the Cleveland one! Aha!
Thx for clearing that up to meIt was an E(rror) Major from my side!
