Living outside the US, it's for me a discovery that Mr. T himself took a stab (pun intended) at rapping in the eighties. It's called "Treat her right" and he teaches the children to be nice with Mom.

worst rhyme is at the beginning:

Recently "La hora chanante", a TV comedy show from Spain made a spoof on song and clip called "Hijo de puta, hay que decirlo más" (literally: "you have to say more 'son of a bitch'") :icon_mrgreen:

The other thing about the Mr. T rap tune is that apparently the rap was written by Ice T. which kind of blows his credibility a bit too.

I remember this song coming out and went out and bought the 12" (I was also buying Eddie Murphy's "Boogie in Your Butt" and Billy Crystal's "Marvelous" so you understand it wasn't about the muscial quality of these songs but their novelty). As far as rap goes, Mr. T's "stab" isn't any worse than the stuff that wins Hip Hop awards. In fact, I think it's better. If rap had remained a cute novelty like this, I probably wouldn't hate it as much as I do now.
