record cleaners and stylus cleaners recommendations

Hello again everyone!!!!! I bet lots of you guys on the board still have crates of quality 12" vinyl. Seems like everything is going to CD's and hard drives these days. For those of us who still have their Technics SL 1200's and lots of vinyl, where can you buy record cleaners and stylus cleaners?? I also am trying to find replacement sleeves and those funky yellow crates that were just right for holding 30 singles or albums.

    Thanks everyone!! Great site!!

The best investment I’ve made lately was to pick up the “Disc doctor II” wash system (Audioadvisor.com), is not cheap ($200.00) but if you own a large collection and still spin your vinyl nothing beats a vacuum system, I can’t believe how much junk was removed from some of my 12”copies, I thought for sure some of them wore out (noise), but they were just dirty, I was even able to wash off light mold.

I gave up the idea of transferring all my music to CD, overwhelming job, at my rate (and age), it could easily take the rest of my life, I just copy and denoise some of my favorites to CD and spin the rest, but now washing all the records before playing and recording is a must.

Hi mixmachine, I have the same problems you have... I also thought to convert all my vinyls to CDs but... what a huge work! And how expensive! I think I would never finish this job, therefore I left if off.
But let's say... vinyl will never die!!

I can relate. Even doing just straight transfers (i.e. no graphics, editing, or processing) would take me years... and of course, I keep buying more! So I just focus on the ones that I like (or that others want) and do the best I can on them.

    God, I hate AVI vinyl...
